1. High pressure polyethylene (LDPE) is an excellent medium temperature initiator, commonly used in tubular or kettle processes. It can be combined with initiators such as tert butyl peroxybutyrate, tert butyl peroxy-2-ethylhexoate, tert butyl peroxyneodecanoate, and diisopropyl benzene hydrogen peroxide to form a composite catalyst system, resulting in better polymerization performance.
2. In the styrene suspension polymerization process, it is the most commonly used initiator for styrene or styrene copolymer when combined with benzoyl peroxide (BPO).
3. Replacing azo initiators in the polymerization process of acrylic esters reduces the toxicity in the resin. It can also be used for the polymerization reaction of vinyl acetate.
4. It is a high-temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyester. This product is widely used in the curing process of unsaturated polyester such as fiberglass, coatings, adhesives, etc., such as in the molding processes of SMC, BMC, DMC. It is the preferred curing agent for high-temperature curing of unsaturated polyester, and has very ideal curing effects for both compression molding and pultrusion molding. If a composite initiator system is composed of BPO, TBPEH, CH and other initiators, the effect is better.
5. It is a good vulcanizing agent for most rubbers (excluding isobutylene rubber).
6. The cetane number will be greatly increased when added to the oil.
